If you’re newly engaged and just beginning your search for your dream dress, chances are you might not be sure what a trunk show is all about. A trunk show at The Collection Bridal in Winter Park / Orlando is an exclusive opportunity to see and try on new designs, including many designs not available anywhere else in Central Florida.
How should I prepare to attend a trunk show? What are the benefits of going to one?

Bring along a little research an open mind.
It’s always a great idea to have an idea of your favourite silhouettes, fabrics and details of what your dream dress theme would be. Bring photos of you faves for a starting point while keeping an open mind to trying on gowns that are outside of your ‘box.’ You have nothing to lose in trying on beautiful gowns that you might not have ordinarily have given a second look … you never know until you try.
Be prepared.
Bring comfortable skin toned undergarments including a strapless or convertible bra, if you are planning on wearing shapewear under your gown bring that too.
Bring your crew, less is more.
Have you ever heard the phrase ‘too many cooks in the kitchen?’ There can be too many voices in a wedding gown try-on. Brings your nearest and dearest and those whose fashion sense you trust the most. This will keep your dream dress try-ons on point and remember the way you feel in the gowns you try-on is what matters most.
Honesty helps.
We want you to have the best experience possible, let your consultant what you like and don’t like. This helps us to narrow down the selection of gowns to (hopefully) prepare you for your dream dress YES moment.
Be prepared to say yes!
You may not get a second chance at trying on a dress that is part of the trunk show. After the show is over, some of the dresses may no longer be available at our store. If you fall in love with the dress say yes!
Takes lots of pictures
Have your bridal party take pictures of your yes dress including the front, back and any other details that you want to remember. This will ensure that you have it’s of photos on hand to referent throughout your wedding planning process.
