These gowns are not only the most fashion-forward bridesmaid dresses that I have seen in sometime, but the really are true party dresses and dare I say it "They really can be worn again"!!!! With fabulous hues of graphite, taupe, black, mocha and ivory, the color pallet is limited but well worth changing your wedding colors for!! :) The dresses consist of lace, organza and mikado and are sure to flatter everyone in your bridal party!! It's that time of year ladies!!! It is time for The Collection Bridal to host their once annual, Blowout Sample Sale!! This years event will be at the salon on May 31st and June 1st with extended store hours of 8am to 8pm!! This is an amazing event where a bride can find a beautiful designer gown at a once in a lifetime discounted price!!! There are a few good things to remember though..... There are no appointments for sample sale, so arrive early because all merchandise is first come first serve. There is no "holding" of any merchandise!!! And make room in your closet at home, as you will be asked to take your purchases home with you that day. The Collection does recommend outside cleaners for the gowns, if you do decide to have your dress cleaned...we have some fabulous recommendations. And remember ladies, your gown will probably need a few alterations ( as do most dresses) and your consultant will be more than happy to explain how the alteration process in our salon works. Twice a year, the newest and hottest trends are featured on the runways of New York... To those in the wedding industry "Market" is one of the most exciting times of the year!!! The top designers are setting the trend for the upcoming season and Spring 2013 was all about COLOR!!!! The past year has been all about demure and feminine lace ( Thank you Kate Middleton), but this season brought forth blue, purple and even red gowns!!!! The Vera Wang Spring 2013 show awed viewers with its rich berry and wine tulle and nettings, while Oscar de la Renta graced the runway with soft baby blue gowns!! Even Monique Lhuillier was on board the color trend, showcasing lovely pastel chantilly lace gowns!!!! Brides-to-be do not stress, almost all of these gowns will come in Ivory, so if you are not ready to take the plunge in red gown, these designs can still carry you to the altar in a beautiful, more "traditional" color!!! Of course, we love when our brides send us pictures and videos after their special day, but some brides you wish you could be there at the wedding as well!!! This is very true for our bride, Holly, and her mother Sharon. From the very beginning of our journey together, Holly and Sharon were like part of the family here at The Collection and were just lovely clients to work with from our first day to the final pick up. As the holidays are quickly approaching, there will be quite a few ladies surprised with an engagement ring; whether it is hidden in the tree on Christmas morning or a New Years Eve proposal is in the works, there will be many newly engaged couples this holiday season. With the ring securely in place, it is time to start planning and there is nothing we love more than a Christmas wedding!!! These extras can be the perfect accents for your winter wonderland theme! A recent bride of ours even had 10 foot Christmas trees as part of her reception decor, and it was absolutely stunning!
